Westas 15MW flagship model obtains type certification

One year after the prototype was running, hot topic recently, the Visteas flagship model V236-15.0 MW has obtained type certification.

V236-15.0 MW was released in February 2021 and became the largest fan in the world at that time. The unit is 280 meters high, equipped with 115.5 meters of leaves, and the wind sweeping area is 43,000 square meters. It refreshes the length of the global fan blades and the wind turbine scanning area.

At the end of 2022, the V236-15.0 MW prototype was installed and completed at Danish ø ø ø ø ø ø ø ø ø National Wind Energy Test Center, and sent the first time.

In March 2023, the V236-15.0MW prototype operated for the first time.

In August 2023, V236-15.0 MW prototypes reached 363MWH in a single day, which broke the SG 14-222 DD to maintain a single-day power generation record of a single-day power generation for 10 months.

Anne Vedel, senior vice president of Westas, said: "Obtaining type certification is an important milestone, which means that the safety and quality of V236-15.0 MW are guaranteed. The design and manufacturing meet the relevant norms.use."

V236-15.0 MW will be unveiled in the 150MWFREDERIKSHAVN offshore wind field of Denmark next year. This is also the first time that the model has been used in commercial projects.
